Dated, but seeds and plants haven’t changed.,
This book predates Genetically modified seeds by about 100 years. The tips are extremely practical. If the reader is aware that the book is written in 1912, I think they can enjoy it. For a gardener of passion, like myself, I just loved the tone and words. This for example is very cool, “To-Day the garden is in the zenith of its glory… To-night – who knows? grim winter may fling the first fleet-winged detachment of his advance across the land…” Are you kidding me? This was like garden Shakespear talking. I marked it down to 4 stars because it might put some people off at the old timey talk. But I loved it.

|No new information,
I bought this book in hopes of getting some good tips for keeping my plants alive in the house through the winter, but was dissapointed after reading a few chapters because there isn’t any new information in it.
